Zoning Office

Responsibilities
The Zoning Officer, in the Department of Community Development, is responsible for the review of all zoning permits, assists in the process of zoning permit applications as well as enforcing and interpreting the Zoning Code of the Township.

As a general reference, here are some examples of the types of construction that requires permits:
  • Decks, Patios, and Porches
  • Dwellings and Additions
  • Fences and Retaining Walls
  • Pools and Pool Houses
  • Sheds and Garages
  • Signs
  • Some Interior Renovations, such as Finished Basements
To obtain the proper paperwork, or inquire about what is necessary, visit the Department of Community Development, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or call 856-235-0912.
