Chris Keating was appointed to fill a vacant seat on Town Council in 2023. In the community, Chris has served as a member of the Moorestown Library Board of Trustees and as a coach of several youth sports teams. He resides in the Moorestown Green neighborhood with his wife and two children.
Chris is an attorney and small business owner, and he is the founding member of Keating Law Firm on Main Street in Moorestown. He presently serves as a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and several other boards of non-profits in New Jersey. Before entering the private sector, Chris served as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice, where he investigated and prosecuted cases involving government corruption, theft and fraud against government entities, interstate theft rings, environmental crimes, and wage theft.
Chris obtained his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University – New Brunswick and his law degree from Seton Hall Law in Newark, New Jersey. After graduating from Rutgers University, Chris participated in the Teach For America program and taught at a middle school in Newark, New Jersey. In both the public and private sector, Chris has dedicated his professional career to serving others.
