A participant can receive a refund on a program if the Recreation Department is notified in writing seven (7) days prior to the start of the program. There is a $10.00 administrative fee with the refund process. We do not pro-rate any program fees.

The Department of Parks and Recreation maintains a courts light policy based on the time of year.

November 15 - March 31: 

• The basketball and tennis court lights at Jeff Young Park and Maple Dawson Park will be turned ON from 30 minutes before sunset – 8 p.m. on days when outdoor temperatures reach at least 40 degrees at 5 p.m. 
• The lights will NOT be turned on if temperatures are forecast to be below 40 degrees at 5 p.m. if it is raining, or if the courts are covered with snow or ice.
• The Wesley Bishop Park lights will be on for Parks & Recreation programs or if the fields have been reserved by other organizations. 

April 1 - November 14:

• The basketball and tennis court lights at the township parks will be turned ON from 30 minutes before sunset – 10 p.m. unless it is raining. 
• The Wesley Bishop Park lights will be on for Parks & Recreation programs or if the fields have been reserved by other organizations. 

Park bathrooms are open from the beginning of April until the middle of November. The bathrooms are not heated, which requires the water to be shutoff during colder months.
