The Community Wellness Group with Penn Medicine Princeton Health will be running free Adult/Child & Infant CPR classes this February for community members – Moorestown Residents Only!
The class offered is a lay rescuer class, designed for the general community. It is the American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR class. They teach this class in places of worship, libraries, senior centers, active adult communities, recreation centers, municipal buildings, schools and corporations. It provides information on cardiac disease, stroke and teaches basic CPR and what to do if someone is choking. The community is the first link in the chain of survival. They are the first to know what is going on and activate the EMS. This course teaches them what to do in the first few critical moments until someone arrives. This is not a certification course; it is considered a participation course.
The Adult/Child class is being held on Tuesday, February 11 from 9:00 - 10:00 am on the 3rd floor of the Church St Rec Center. And the Infant class is being held on Tuesday, February 11 from 10:30 – 11:30 am on the 3rd floor of the Church St Rec Center. The classes are approximately one hour long.
While the class is free we still require you to register since space is limited – www.moorestownrec.com
