[ARCHIVED] 'Fall Pottery' to offer grades three thru six the fundamentals

Moorestown Parks and Recreation is offering a "Fall Pottery Class" for both boys and girls in grades three through six.

This class will focus on the fundamental concepts of ceramics through slab-building, hand-building and coil techniques. Each week will focus on a new project.  Students will complete multiple pieces during the six- week session. Classes will be held on the 3rd floor of the Church Street Recreation Building. 

Tracie Muir will serve as the course's instructor. Muir studied art at University of Maryland and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Scientific Illustration and a Master’s of Science in medical illustration. Her professional career spans 25 years and includes providing medical illustrations to area universities and NFL Films where she worked as a graphic artist.  For the last four years, Tracie has expanded her artistic skills to include glass blowing, paper making, painting and pottery. 

DATES:  

  • Monday classes: September 27 & October 4, 11, 18, 25 & November 1 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. 
  • Tuesday classes: September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

LOCATION:  Moorestown REC Center – 3rd Floor

FEE:  Resident $ 140.00, Non-Resident $ 160.00
