Decorating gingerbread cookies.

Get baking with Parks & Rec. this holiday season!

Gingerbread House Baking & Building - Two classes to choose from 

The first class will involve making the gingerbread from scratch and then baking the parts of the house. The second day will include construction and decoration of each participant’s house. Houses will be taken home at the end of the second class.  

Grades: 2nd – 7th      

Dates/Times: Thursday, December 4th - 5- 7 pm & Friday, December 5th – 4 - 6 pm 

Fee: $75.00 (Moorestown resident); $95 (non-resident)

Dates/Times: Monday, December 8th - 4 - 6 pm & Tuesday, December 9th - 4 - 6 pm

Holiday Gift Making - Jams – Chocolates – Bath Bombs

Students will make hot cocoa mix in decorated jars with homemade chocolates, bath bombs, and homemade jams. Students will have the opportunity to wrap all gifts made in the kitchen.

Grades: 3rd - 8th   

Date: Friday, December 12        

Times: 4:00 - 7:00 pm           

Fee: $65.00 (non-residents- $85.00) all supplies included

Gingerbread House Competition

Previous Baking Skills Required. This is an advanced competition – students are welcomed back to the kitchen and will have little guidance while working in teams or by themselves to create fresh baked gingerbread pieces, royal icing and complete a fully decorated house or structure. Will you win Moorestown Parks & REC’s first ever Gingerbread Competition?

GRADES:  8th - 12th      

DATE:  Saturday, December 13, 2025     

TIME: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm    

FEE:  $55.00 (non-resident $75.00)

Instructor: Chef Katie has been cooking and teaching professionally for over 12 years.   She worked her way up through local restaurants and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Culinary Management from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.   She loves working with local and sustainable ingredients and sharing her passion with others.
