[ARCHIVED] Residents asked to be mindful of floating dock lines

A photo of the floating dock at Strawbridge Lake.

The Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee has installed what are known as “goose lines” around the permanent floating dock at Strawbridge Lake near Kings Highway. The lines will stop geese from creating a mess on the brand new dock and keep people safe from exposure to this mess.

Some of the lines along the far corner of the “L” are removable, as they can be laid down to access the water (see photos). The 6 other lines along the perimeter of the rest of the dock are not removable. The SLBC asks those who use the dock to please simply pull posts up and lay down the removable lines when accessing the water and put them back up when finished.

Please be mindful of the new lines and take care of them; it will benefit all those who wish to access the lake.
