Public, staff asked to wear masks in township buildings
Moorestown Township is asking any member of the public entering a township building to please wear a mask or facial covering. All township staff are also required to wear a mask while inside township facilities. The goal is to keep both township staff and members of the public safe.
The Township Manager issued the mask mandate in response to a handful of township staff testing positive for COVID-19. Those staff members are currently following the Centers for Disease Control’s quarantine protocols.
Asking all staff and members of the public to ‘mask up’ also ensures the least disruption to township services. If multiple staff members were in close contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive or tested positive themselves, staff would need to quarantine, and the township’s ability to serve the public would be hindered.
Exceptions for religious, health or other reasons will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
