Pre-school dance programs are still being held, following social distancing and face mask wearing protocols.
Dance – Classes give boys and girls ages 2 – 5 and parents an opportunity to bond through dance, music, and creative movement. Children are introduced to the fundamentals of dance that will improve their balance, rhythm and coordination. Sensory props like wands, parachutes, bean bags and ribbons add an extra level of expression and improve gross motor skills. It is a great way for young children to become comfortable in a classroom-like setting with structure and to become socially acclimated. Ballet shoes required.
Kids Movement – Class for boys and girls ages 2 -5 that combines movement with learning. This is a fun class that will keep your child moving through various activities that change frequently to keep them engaged. Children will begin learning shapes, colors as well as numbers and letters while getting their hearts pumping. Parent or caregiver is asked to stay and assist children with activities.
Four is Fun/Five is Fun-ner Summer Camp – Camp specifically designed for 4 and 5 year olds. The atmosphere and structure of this program is perfect for our youngest campers, who may be venturing out into group settings for the first time over an extended period. Each site is supervised by certified teachers, who love teaching. The ratio of instructor to child is maximized to make sure kids are engaged and supported.
Soccer - For 4 and 5 year old boys and girls who will not be attending Kindergarten in the Fall. Teams are co-ed and kept small in size to maximize participation. Emphasis is on a positive experience while being introduced to a new sport. Have fun, make new friends while learning good sportsmanship, cooperation and the concepts of teamwork. Teams play at Jeff Young Park for one hour on Saturdays with 30 minutes devoted to instruction - individual and team skills. Short scrimmage games with instruction follow. No referees or score keeping, just positive reinforcement and encouragement.
