Councilwoman Nicole Gillespie was elected to Township Council in 2018, served as Deputy Mayor in 2019 and has served as Mayor since 2020. As a former naval officer, educator and CEO of a local non-profit, Nicole has spent her entire professional life in public service and brings to Council a wealth of leadership experience.
She has been active volunteer in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Moorestown, the Moorestown Business Association and the Fourth of July Committee. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern NJ, and Burlington County Minority and Equality Rights Task Force.
Nicole is a graduate of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis and holds a PhD from the University of California. She lives in the Colonial Ridge neighborhood of Moorestown and where she spends her free time reading and planning her next trip to off-beat locations around the world.
