Moorestown Council seeks volunteers for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Task Force

Council invites individuals who live or work in Moorestown to join the Moorestown Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (MEID) Task Force.  The task force will explore how Moorestown can better protect and celebrate diversity among our residents, businesses and visitors while promoting an innovative, engaged, and informed community.   The goal of the task force will be to make recommendations to council on action steps, including the possible formation of a permanent advisory committee.   Council is seeking diverse perspectives on the task force, especially individuals who are Black, Indigenous or People of Color (BIPOC); members of the LGBTQ+ community; and members of all faiths but especially those that do not have a place of worship in Moorestown (e.g., Jewish, Muslim and HIndu).

Individuals who are interested in serving on the task force should send an email to council@moorestown.nj.us. by March 15, 2021. Please include your name, address, phone number and why you are interested in serving.  Also include some brief information about yourself.

Deputy Mayor Mammarella and Councilmember Quinton Law will be the Council Liaisons to the task force.
