Evergreen’s Senior Women’s Club meets every Tuesday from January through December from 12pm to 3:00 pm. Summer hours are 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Great chance to socialize, have a cup of coffee and a snack or play cards or a game or swap your latest book for another. Moorestown Garden Club drops in a few times a year to help make seasonal floral arrangements. Occasional live music performances (singing along welcomed). Two to three bus trips are organized each year, i.e, day trip to Atlantic City, day trip to lunch and theater, day trip to Christmas show. Located at the New Albany Recreation Center on New Albany Road between Church Road and Lenola Road. 

Senior Card Club meets Mondays through Friday’s 9:00-12:00.  Also located at the New Albany Recreation Center (see above). Group meets to play cards (pinochle is a favorite) and catch up with peers. No need to register for this program.  

Concerts - The annual Summer Concert Series is presented by the Township of Moorestown, Department of Parks & Recreation in collaboration with Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown Community House and MoorArts. This long tradition has continued in Moorestown for over 50 years, performances on the lawn of the Community House or Perkins Center. Concerts held on Monday evenings beginning in June and running through early July and indoor concerts at the Church Street Recreation Center in the Fall and Winter. Many bands are comprised of local residents. Recent musical styles included Big Band, Swing, 60’s, Rock, contemporary and Dixieland jazz. Last year Perkins’ Children’s Flute ensemble and the Wind Symphony of South Jersey performed.   Please click on the following link for more information: Link to Summer Concert Information.

Adult Tennis – Tuesday evenings this class is for beginners who want to try a new sport (or lapsed players who want to dust off a long-rested racquet) that can be played at any age. Low-pressure and fun drills led by experienced instructors get you ready for match play. Racquets are available to use. 

Pickleball is one of the fasting growing sports in the country. Day sessions are offered Monday through Thursdays from 10:15am to 1:15pm and an evening session on Tuesdays, indoors at the Rec Center gym. This is a sport anyone of any age or fitness level can pick up easily. It is a combination of tennis, ping-pong and badminton. Open play, no instruction, but paddles, net and balls provided. Tai Chi classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 10:00 to 11:00 am and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, on the third floor of the Church Street Recreation Center. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of martial arts. Its modern day adaptation is widely practiced to promote mental relaxation and physical fitness through low-impact, fluid, graceful movements. Class focuses on the repetition of Tai Chi “Basic Skills” and the “Simplified 18 Steps Chen Style” Tai Chi Quan, which once learned can be performed at home as well.

Walking Club in conjunction with Moorestown’s “Open Space Walks” take you on a guided journey through the wonderful parks and open space conserved in Moorestown. Learn about local history or fauna and flora while getting some fresh air and exercise. Walks take place roughly once a week in good weather and are kept to one to three miles.

Yoga classes are held on Thursday evenings 6:00 to 7:15 pm on the third floor of the Church Street Recreation Center. All levels are welcome. Instructor likes to tailor the session to requests from the class. This is a relaxing and gentle way to revitalize the body.
