The Department of Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the Moorestown Community House, Perkins Center for the Art and MoorArts presents:
2019 Summer Concert Series:
June 3rd - 6:30pm at Perkins Center for the Arts Lawn
Event: Vinyl Comes Alive at Moorestown's Evergreen Lawn
Music: Creedance Clearwater Revival's Chronicles: the 20 Greatest Hits Album
June 10th - 6:30pm at Perkins Center for the Arts Lawn
Event: Perkins Faculty and Friends
Music: Selections of Jazz and Classical music performed by Perkins Faculty.
Perkins Centers for the Arts, thanks to a grant from PNC Arts Alive, the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and annual fund donations to Perkins Center for the Arts, will be hosting the first two concerts on the Evergreen Lawn at Perkins.
The following concerts are held at the Moorestown Community House Lawn. (In case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors). Children's Entertainment is at 6:30 PM and the Main Stage will be held at 7:00 PM.
June 17 - MoorArts presents Children’s Entertainment at 6:30pm – Mother Goose
“Burn Moore”, a band headed by Andrew Moorer. Mr. Moorer grew up in Moorestown and is a recent graduate of Rowan University where he received B.A. in Music and a B.S. in Music Industry.
June 24 - Children’s Entertainment will be “Masters of Magic and Fun” followed by “Lost in Brunswick”, a Moorestown group, who perform classic rock and original songs.
July 8 - Children’s Entertainment will be “Puppets Pizzazz” will be followed by the very local “Collins/Flynn Band” (named after two streets in Moorestown). They play music from the 60’s – from the Beatles to One-Hit Wonders.
July 15 - the children’s show will be local resident Brian Richards’ “Magic Show”. The Golden Eagle Community Band will follow performing Big Band, contemporary Jazz, Pop and Rock.
July 22 - the very popular Moorestown children’s librarian, Jen Dunne will read to children and the “Barbone Street Jazz Band” will perform Swing and Dixieland jazz.
July 29 - Republic Bank, for the first time, will be sponsoring the Perkin’s Children’s Flute Ensemble followed by the Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey.
September 6th, Kathryn Supko of BHHS Fox & Roach will sponsor the Midiri Brothers Orchestra at 7pm at the Church Street Rec Center.
