All Department of Parks and Recreation weekend programs at the Recreation Centers and school buildings are cancelled for:

CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION/AED |
|
The Department of Parks will offer Cardio Pulmonary Resusciation Courses for coaches, parents, babusitter, teachers, and other who work with children and adults (HEARTSAVER). Course dates (need only attend one) are 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, and 3/23.
Additionally, a class has been added to the program that is specifically for those who need certification in the health care field (HEALTH CARE PROVIDER). The date for this course is March 30.
All courses will be held at the New Albany Road Recreation Center on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, and will be taught by Marie Stavros, RN.
The fee is $25.00 (non-residents $35) payable to the Township of Moorestown.
Registration (until course maximum is reached) can be done through the mail or drop-in at 2 Executive Drive, Suite 9A, Moorestown, NJ 08057. |

WINTER DANCE PROGRAM - 2010 |
|
The Winter comprehensive series of Ballet Lessons (ages 3 through 9) and Hip Hop (ages 7 and older) will begin on Saturday, January 30th through March 27th. The fee is $75.00for residents and $85.00 for non-residents.
The schedule is as follows:
10:00 AM - Ballet ages 3 & 4
11:00 AM - Hip Hop
12:00 Noon-Ballet ages 5 &6
1:00 PM - Ballet ages 7 to 9
2:00 PM - Hip Hop

FAMILY SKI TRIP - 2010 - DATE CHANGE |
|
The Annual Family Ski Trip has been changed to SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST 6:45 AM (leaves from the Church Street Recreation Center Parking Lot) to 6:00 PM.
The cost is $43.00 for lift only ages 8-18 and 62-69, $50.00 for lift only ages 19-61, and $99.00 for those who would like to also rent equipment and take a lesson. All packages include the cost of transportation.
Bring your own helmet or you can rent one at the mountain for $10.00.
Registration will be done at the Department of Parks and Recreation Office at 2 Executive Drive, Suite 9A, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
NOTE: Mail-in can only be done if equipment is not being rented, as a rental form is required. |

GIRLS 5TH/6TH GRADE LACROSSE PROGRAM |
|
Registration is now underway for the Girls' Spring 5th and 6th Grade Lacrosse Program that begins on Wednesday, March 10th. The recreationsl league is not available to travel palyers.
Girls will be playing in an official South Jersey League so that they may participate in game-situation play. This will require some travel to local towns on Sunday afternoons.
The cost is $50.00, and early registration is suggested, as space is limited due to maximum participation procedures.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, February 24th at 4:30 PM. |

INDOOR TENNIS LESSONS |
|
The Department of Parks and Recreation will again offer Indoor Tennis Lessons at the Church Street Recreation during the late fall and winter months.
Session II will be held the week of January 11th and Session III the week of February 15th.
The cost for each session is $55.00 for residents and $65.00 for non-residents.

SPECIAL NEEDS SWIMMING AT THE COMMUNITY HOUSE |
|
Bring your bathing suit and towel and join in the Family Support/SNAC Special Needs Outing on Saturday, February 13th.
Family swimming will be available at the Community House Pool, 16 East Main Street in Moorestown from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. An adult is required to stay with their child/children.
The fee is $3.00 per person or $10.00 per family and can be mailed to Department of Parks and Recreation, 2 Executive Drive, Suite 9A, Moorestown, NJ 08057 on or before February 12th. |

| The Department of Parks and Recreation sponsors programs for children and adults throughout the year, including sports leagues (basketball, bowling, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, girls' lacrosse); senior citizen programs; lessons and clinics (tennis, arts and crafts, volleyball, basketball, golf, ballet, and others). Registration forms (listed under 'PROGRAMS') can be downloaded, printed, and mailed in to 111 W. Second Street to avoid office visitation. |
|
| The department also sponsors a Summer Theater Program, in which young people aged 7 to 17 produce and perform a musical play for the community. In addition, it operates over 200 acres of parks, nature areas, bikeways and recreational complexes (see recreation facility listing for map and descriptions). |
|
| MISSION: Through a variety of programs, leisure activities, and park enhancements, the recreation department seeks to promote a healthy, more active and creative way of life for all members of the community. Through fun, fair play, low key activities, and healthy competition, the Department seeks to provide an atmosphere of cameraderie and a growing sense of self for all of Moorestown's citizenry. |
