CENTERTON ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE |
|
CENTERTON BRIDGE TO CLOSE MARCH 10th
Historic Centerton Bridge over the Rancocas Creek North Branch that connects Willingboro and Westampton to Mount Laurel will close for inspection and repairs Wednesday, March 10 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The bridge undergoes inspection and routine maintenance four times annually. In the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, the maintenance will be performed Thursday, March 11th.
Traffic normally accessing the bridge along Centerton Road (County Route 635) will be detoured to Creek Road (CR636), I-295 and Beverly-Rancocas Road (CR626). Centerton Road will be open to local traffic only on both sides of the bridge.
The center swing-span bridge was built 1903 by NJ Bridge Co. of Manasquan NJ. It is manually operated and in the National Register of Historic Places.

Police Department has moved to 1245 N. Church St., Ste. 3 |
|
With the upcoming renovations to the Municipal Complex, the Police Department has moved to temporary quarters at 1245 N. Church St., Suite. 3 on Friday 2/19/2010. The Police Department facility is located at the corner of N. Church St. and Twosome Dr. across from the Skate Park. All telephone numbers will remain the same. |

TUMBLIN' TOTS - Spring 2010 |
|
The spring session of Tumblin' Tots will be sponsored by the Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation on Thursday mornings for eight weeks from April 15th through June 3rd;
Ages 18 mos. to 30 mos.- 9:30 AM
Ages 2 1/2 to 4 - 10:30 AM
(Birth Certificate Required and a parent or guardian must stay with children during the program)
The program is held at the Church Street Recreation Center, 111 W. Second Street, and the fee is $65.00 for residents and $75.00 for non-residents. |

The Department of Parks and Recreation sponsors programs for children and adults throughout the year, including sports leagues (basketball, bowling, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, girls' lacrosse); senior citizen programs; lessons and clinics (tennis, arts and crafts, volleyball, basketball, golf, ballet, and others). Registration forms (listed under 'PROGRAMS') can be downloaded, printed, and mailed in to 111 W. Second Street to avoid office visitation.

The department also sponsors a Summer Theater Program, in which young people aged 7 to 17 produce and perform a musical play for the community. In addition, it operates over 200 acres of parks, nature areas, bikeways and recreational complexes (see recreation facility listing for map and descriptions).
