The Township of Moorestown is pleased to announce that last week, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection approved plans to make improvements/upgrades to the North Church Street Water Treatment Plant and the Hartford Road Water Treatment Plant. Current water quality being provided by the Township meets or exceeds Federal and State drinking water standards. The improvements at the plants will ensure that Moorestown Township remains on the cutting edge of technology with the highest water quality for its residents well into the future. The improvements will also replace a temporary filtration system at North Church Street and increase the capacity of the water plants so there is less of a need to depend on more expensive water supplies from New Jersey American Water.
