Notice to Owners of Abandoned Properties
In accordance with the Township of Moorestown’s Municipal code, the properties below have been determined to be vacant and abandoned as defined in State Law. The determination is part of an effort by the Township to protect the general public from property maintenance issues that unfairly threaten the safety, health, and the welfare of neighbors and the public. The owners of properties and location of the properties will be published in the Courier Post as required by law. Additionally, owners of these properties will be receiving official notices from the Township by certified mail explaining to them that if they do not rehabilitate their properties or successfully appeal the determination, the Township will consider additional steps to more aggressively correct property maintenance issues. The steps may include, but aren’t limited to, fines, penalties, and municipal rehabilitation improvements to properties paid for through liens on the properties. The Township, as well as the good neighbors of these properties, hope and expect that the property owners will take steps to rehabilitate them without the Township needing to take additional actions. If you are aware of vacant properties with severe/chronic maintenance issues not appearing on the list and that you feel threaten your, or the public’s, safety, health, and the welfare, then please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
