SUMMER PARKS PROGRAM - Rising 6th Grade through Rising 9th Grade


DATES:

Monday, June 24th through Friday, July 26th (Program will be closed on July 4th and 5th).

TIME:

9:00 AM to 1:15 PM. One drop off and one pick up per day.

LOCATION:

New Albany Road Recreation Center.

AGES:

Rising 6th Grade through Rising 9th Grade. Proof of grade may be required.

FEE:

$195, for the entire five-week program. $20 additional fee after April 30th. Moorestown residents only.

VOCAL PERFORMANCE COURSE - Ages 15 to 19


The classes will include both performance and vocal techniques. Each class will begin with vocal warm ups followed by vocal technique. Students will learn breath control, posture, vocal health, positioning of vowels and the do's and don'ts with singing. The second hour will include more of an interactive experience between the groups.  Students will rotate performing during the weeks. We will improve each performance in a positive and safe space. Students will learn how to interact with an audience, learn how to use eye contact, learn expression, how to handle stage fright, how to hold a microphone, and how to connect to the music you are singing.  
AGES: 15-19. 
DATES:  Wednesdays, May 1 to May 22  
TIME: 6 to 8 PM.  FEE:  $199 (non resident $219). 
LOCATION: Church Street Recreation Center.
INSTRUCTOR: Courtney Halpin MacBride. Courtney is a Moorestown High School alumni who attended Berklee College of Music studying voice, performance, songwriting and music therapy.  Courtney performed in both Boston and New Jersey before going to Los Angeles working on her own music, writing for TV, film, commercial work and performing around Los Angeles.  Her passion is the love of teaching children and adults how to perform and how to sing properly.

CSI - CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION CLASS


Program is for students who are interested in learning how geometry, physics, triangles and more apply to solving a crime scene.  After classroom portion, students will identify and process a mock crime scene by collecting evidence using up-to-date techniques.
