This project is partially funded through a Transportation Alternative Program grant as administered by the NJ Department of Transportation in partnership with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.
The Township has been awarded $971,000 for the construction of streetscape improvements that include sidewalk repair and replacement, bike lanes, shade trees, decorative lighting, street furniture, and wayfinding/ interpretive signage.
On October 3, 2018 an Informational Meeting was held at the Lenola Firehouse where consultant Scott Taylor of the Taylor Design Group presented a Concept Plan for the Lenola Town Center Improvement Plan. See images below.
Based on the comments received from the public, the Taylor Design Group along with the Township’s Engineer, Bill Long of the Alaimo Group, will develop the preliminary design documents which will include more detailed measured drawings, design specifications and costs estimates. Once these documents are submitted to the Township for review, they will be scheduled for a public presentation to Town Council, where members of the public will be able to comment on the plans. Prior to the Council Meeting, the documents will be available for review by the public in the Community Development Department.
An email will be sent to interested parties when these documents are available for review. If you would like to be included on this email distribution list please sign up for updates on our website notification center.
