The Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to announce the formation of a walking club.  Attend the kick off to learn abut the walking options available in the township.  Chef Katie will provide light refreshments and appetizers using healthy, locally-sources ingredients to launch this program.  
Our vision is to create a community of all ages to explore the outdoors, exercise and embark on a healthier life.  Current plans are for morning, afternoon and evening walks during the week and on Saturdays.  Guided walks through our local parks and open space is also being planned.

The 2018 Summer Concert Series is presented by the Township of Moorestown, Department of Parks and Recreation and in collaboration with the Perkins Center for the Arts,  Moorestown Community House and MoorArts.  The first two concerts will be held at Perkins Center starting at 6:30 PM.  The other concerts will be held on the Community House Lawn (16 East Main Street) with the Children's Entertainment at 6:00 PM followed by the Main Stage at 6:30 PM.  All concerts will be held on Monday nights.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

June 4 

       Perkins Center for the Arts' House Band, Vinyl Comes Alive presents a concert featuring some of the greatest songs
                   from the Motown era as well as artists and bands that populated the Stax and Atlantic Records sound.  Songs by artists such
                   as Wilson Picket, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding and Charles Bradley.

June 11

       Perkins Center for the Arts' Faculty and Friends present a unique variety of music in styles from classical to jazz

June 18 

     Kid's Stage -  Voice of the People: A History of American Folk Music, Artist-David Fry. Children learn about the
                   historical role of folk music throughout American history and understand how this creative art form was a mobilizing force in
                   our society.  The concert is so much fun that kids don't realize they are getting a history lesson, too!

June 25

      Kid's Stage - Jen Dunne, Moorestown Children's Librarian
                   Main Stage - Trouble with Plaid, a multi-generational Moorestown Band, known for 3 part harmonies and soft rock                                     favorites.

July 9

         An Evening of Children's Entertainment - Folkloric storytelling; "Sweet Potato Pie and Such" with "Queen Nur" ,
                   6:00 to 7:30 PM, recommended ages are toddlers to 10 years.

July 16         

   Kid's Stage - Ernie and Neal is a rockin', dynamic musical experience.  They bring joy and art of creating and performing                               live Children's Music to a whole new level.

                   Main Stage - Collins/Flynn Band, a Moorestown Band playing the Top Hits of the 50's, 60's and 70's.

July 23

      Kid's Stage - Department of Parks and Recreation Children's Theatre presents a preview of Annie, Jr.
                   Main Stage - Steve Barbone Jazz Band; Jazz, Swing and American songbook music.

July 30 

     Kid's Stage - Perkins Children's Flute Ensemble presents a musical menagerie of animal-inspired songs celebrating
                   Cats, Birds, Dogs, Mice, Elephants and EAGLES!
                   Main Stage - The Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey

The Midiri Brothers - Adult Cafe' on the 3rd Floor of the Church Street Recreation Center, 7:00 PM
                   The Midiri Brothers Orchestra is a Big Band featuring authentic performances of the music of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw,
   Fletcher Henderson, the Dorsey Brothers, Glenn Miller & more, all under the direction of clarinetist Joe Miriri
