BAKING BASICS AND MORE -  Spring Session


This four week course will cover the basics of baking and expand on prior knowledge.  Children, through hands on learning, will fine tune their measurements, ratios and proportions and be given more challenging recipes.  Recipes include pies, cookies, cupcakes, and quick breads.  Food prepared in class will be taken home and enjoyed!!

Description: Come BeadAmoment. Bring your tired, broken, incomplete jewelry, and unused beads and enjoy being part of the creative atmosphere in which new and unique pieces come to life! Colors, materials and shapes will come together like pieces of a puzzle to honor a memorable moment in our life or simply to enhance that fasion ensemble that you already love.  By the end of the session, you will walk away with several pieces to wow everyone, including yourself.

SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE - GRADES 3-8 (as of Fall, 2017)


Summer Basketball at its best! Summer league will play outside at Maple Dawson Park.  League will be 5 weeks with guaranteed 8 games per team.  Games will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights (most weeks will have 2 games/night). Volunteer coaches are needed. 

GRADE

: 3-8 (AS OF FALL 2017).  

DATES

: June 26-July 26 (Monday through Wednesday).  No games July 3 or July 4.

TIMES

: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (1 hour each night).

FEE

: $100 for Moorestown Residents.

This four day camp will cover the basics of baking including measurements, ratios and proportions. Students will be given hands-on instructions for making favorites such as pretzels, muffins, rolls and pies. 
Monday - Soft Pretzel Workshop - dough from scratch, specialty pretzels such as cinnamon sugar, pretzel dogs and dips
Tuesday - Muffin Baskets - variety of scratch made, organic muffins
Wednesday - Quick Easy Dinner Rolls - Cheddar Herb Biscuits, Garlic Rolls
Thursday - Creative Mini Pies - fillings to be picked by the class.

SUMMER BAKING CAMP - Pies, Scones, Bread and More!!


This four day course will cover baking yeast breads, quick breads, pies and scones.All recipes from scratch including pie crust and yeast rising.

SUMMER CULINARY CAMP - June or August Dates


This 4 day program is designed to help adolescent students learn culinary practices and fundamentals they can build upon.

Tuesday-Tex Mex; Homemade Tortillas, Fajita Spiced Chicken, and turn them into Quesadillas
Wednesday-Italian American; Pizza Dough and sauce from scratch, plus garlic knots and Stromboli
Thursday-Pot Stickers. Pork and Chicken Pot Stickers and vegetable fried rice.

SUMMER CULINARY CAMP - TEEN CUISINE


This 4 day program is designed to help adolescent students learn culinary practices and fundamentals they can build upon. This program is designed to help high school students learn how to manage their food and their finances whether they are cooking at home with limitd ingredients or on their own for the first time.  Whether going away to school or heading out to their own apartment this program will prepare any high school student for that next step.

SUMMER TEEN/YOUNG ADULT THEATRE PROGRAM


The Department of Parks and Recreation and MoorArts present...LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
This is a new collaboration program for teens/young adults, directed by Sarah Dugan as well as vocalist coach, Mandy Milne.  Participants will delve into the craft of musical theatre by focusing on character development, acting technique, vocal technique, movement and conditioning and theater history.

DATES

:  Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th - Auditions, 7:00-9:00 PM.  Wednesday, June 7th - call backs, 7:00-9:00 PM.

REHEARSALS

:  Monday through Thursday, June 8th through July 26th, 6:00 to 9:00 PM (Program closed July 3rd and 4th)

SUMMER VOLLEYBALL ADVANCED CAMP - SAND COURTS


This program will be held at Jeff Young Park sand volleyball courts and is open to boys and girls in grades 7-12 with prior volleyball experience.  Prior experienced players with club volleyball or high school team will receive advanced instruction and enjoy competitive play.

Instructor: John Grossman.  John has 15 years coaching experience with players form 8-18  He currently coaches a HS team in PA and is the technical director for Cherry Hill Volleyball Club where he also head coaches 2 teams. Beyond coaching, coaching, John played professinally indoors and outdoors for 10+ years.  he subscirbes to volleyball best practices and volunteers with the USA Volleyball Olympic team.

The camp will stress fundamentals including passing, serving, setting and basic hitting.  This program will be held at Moorestown Recreation Center and is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8.   Open to all levels.
