ART CAMP - SUMMER  (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)


The art camp is a week of workshop lessons involving a wide array of mediums including: Science Art, Arts and Crafts, Painting, Drawing, 3-D Sculptural Art, Group Mural. Participants will create age appropriate art projects designed to promote their inner creativity.

BASKETBALL CLINIC - SUMMER


Five Week Outdoor Summer Youth Basketball Clinic. This clinic will provide an opportunity for players of all abilities to learn and fine-tune their fundamental basketball skills. Players will learn stretching/warm up routines, practice drills, and display their talents during games.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE - SUMMER  (GRADES 3-8 - as of Fall, 2017)


Summer Basketball at its best! Summer league will play outside at Maple Dawson Park.  League will be 5 weeks with guaranteed 8 games per team.  Games will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights (most weeks will have 2 games/night). Volunteer coaches are needed. 

GRADE

: 3-8 (AS OF FALL 2017).

: June 26-July 26 (Monday through Wednesday).  No games July 3 or 4.

BAKING CAMP - SUMMER - June or August Dates


This four day camp will cover the basics of baking including measurements, ratios and proportions. Students will be given hands-on instructions for making favorites such as pretzels, muffins, rolls and pies. 
Monday - Soft Pretzel Workshop - dough from scratch, specialty pretzels such as cinnamon sugar, pretzel dogs and dips
Tuesday - Muffin Baskets - variety of scratch made, organic muffins
Wednesday - Quick Easy Dinner Rolls - Cheddar Herb Biscuits, Garlic Rolls
Thursday - Creative Mini Pies - fillings to be picked by the class.

FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE - FALL, 2017 (Grades 1-4)


The Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor Field Hockey Leagues for residents or girls attending school in Moorestown and entering grades 1-4 in the fall.

DATES

: Sundays, September 17th to October 29th

TIME

: 12:30-2:00 pm

FEE

: Grades 1-2 - $50.00 (non-residents attending school in Moorestown- $70.00)
         Grades 3-4 - $60.00 (non-residents attending school in Moorestown-$80.00).  We will have referees for some games at this grade.

LOCATION

: Wesley Bishop Park, North Church Street. No disposable water bottles on turf field.

REGISTRATION

Team Assignments

: Team assignments will be announced on Sunday, September 17th and league games will begin that day. Girls should come dressed to play with mouth guards, shin guards, and field hockey approved goggles. Sticks that must be returned each week will be available for use. 

Volunteers

: Volunteer coaches and assistants are needed to make the leagues possible. No prior knowledge of field hockey is required.
 

FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC - FALL, 2017 (Grades 3-6)


The program is designed to help the girls improve their stick skills and is in addition to the regular Sunday Program. Teams will not be formed for this program. Girls should report on the first scheduled Wednesday (September 13th) ready to play. If you have registered for Limited Travel program, you do NOT need to register for the clinic.

FIELD HOCKEY "LIMITED TRAVEL" LEAGUE, FALL  (Grades 5-6)


The Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor a "Limited" Travel League on Sundays that will be available on a first come-first serve basis. Teams will play in the South Jersey Youth Field Hockey League and will have one to two games per week.  Each girl will be expected to play goalie at least one week unless a goalkeeper registers for the team. Girls are expected to attend each week so that the team does not have to forfeit any games.

: various locations in South Jersey such as Medford, Collingswood, Gloucester.

FEE

: $125.00 (non resident and attending school in Moorestown $145.00)

GAMES

: Sundays, September 10th through October 29th.  

TIME

: Between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm.  A schedule of time and place will be provided at the start of the league.

PRACTICES

: Wednesdays and Thursdays 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm at Wesley Bishop Park turf field (girls must attend practices to participate in games - do NOT sign up for Wednesday clinic).

FIELD HOCKEY "LIMITED TRAVEL" LEAGUE - Fall (Grades 7-8)


The Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor a Field Hockey Team for residents. The Township will form at least one team to play in the South Jersey Youth Field Hockey league. If enough girls register for a second team, a second team will be formed. Teams will have one to two games per week played in various townships on Sunday afternoons.  Girls are expected to attend each week so that the team does not have to forfeit any games. PREVIOUS FIELD HOCKEY KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED. This is NOT for beginners as there are no scheduled practices at the 7th and 8th grade level and highly competitive games.

Led by a certified teacher, your four year old will be surrounded by a caring and passionate staff to ensure their safety and security throughout the summer.

Looking for something for the kids to do during the summer months, sign up for the Summer Parks Program.  Children will participate in arts and crafts, sports and other fun activities at local sites.  Field trips are optional and will be available at an additional cost.  Trip details will be available in February.

: 3 Lions Soccer Academy.  This full-time professional soccer coaching organization deals with both high level teams and players as well as recreation teams and players.  The academy has produces hundreds of players that have played in college and tis reputation for producing players is known throughout the northeast.

SUMMER - SPORTS CLINIC

Learn fundamentals of soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, basketball, and flag football. VOLLEYBALL CAMP  - SUMMER (Grades 5-8)


The camp will stress fundamentals including passing, serving, setting and basic hitting.  This program will be held at Moorestown Recreation Center and is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8.   Open to all levels.

: John Grossman.  John has 15 years coaching experience with players form 8-18  He currently coaches a HS team in PA and is the technical director for Cherry Hill Volleyball Club where he also head coaches 2 teams. Beyond coaching, coaching, John played professinally indoors and outdoors for 10+ years.  he subscirbes to volleyball best practices and volunteers with the USA Volleyball Olympic team.
