BASKETBALL LEAGUE - WINTER - Grade 2 - Boys and Girls


Games will be played on lowered baskets at the Upper Elementary School between 8:30 am and 6:00 PM for 1 1/2 hours on Saturdays from January 13 to March 10, 2018. There are no weekday practices. Teams will have a clinic run by Ted Flick for the first 30 minutes prior to league game each Saturday officiated by Ted and his instructors.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS:

BAKING - PIES FOR THANKSGIVING


This one day class will teach your children how to make pies from beginning to end.  They will go home with two pies for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Pie dough will be made from scratch as well as the pie filling.  The children will each go home with a pumpkin pie and an apple-cinnamon pie.

This program is designed to help adolescent students learn culinary practices and fundamentals that they can build upon.  From beginning to end of making a perfect holiday meal, Chef Katie will lead this group of “junior foodies” as they explore fun, healthy and more challenging recipes..   
This two week program will have two separate sessions.  The first session (November 2 & 16) will focus on Warm Autumn Recipes; pumpkin ravioli from scratch, oven roasted chicken, garlic herb bread and roasted veggies.  The second session (December 6 & 13) will be holiday themed with fresh apple sauce, potato pancakes (latkes), loaded baked ziti and scratch made garlic bread.

MOMMY AND ME (Ages 18 months to 3 yrs)


Our Mommy and Me class gives parents and children an opportunity to bond through dance, song, and creative movement.  Children will receive an introduction to dance with stretching exercises, imagination and creative play with the use of sensory props improving gross motor skills.  This class also offers young children their first look in a classroom setting, improving social interaction.

The emphasis of this program is to develop solid soccer players in a fun and educational environment. George Crouse - George has taught tennis as a full time professional for the last 15 years.  He is an elite certified professional of the USPTA.  He played tennis at Fairfield University in Connecticut and currently teaches tennis full time at the Moorestown Tennis Club.  George has a teaching philosophy of creating a fun, learning environment.

TUMBLIN' TOTS - Ages 18 months to 4 years


Description: Mommy & Me(18 months to 2 1/2 years) - Fun fitness designed to improve motor skills and coordination while having fun and developing social skills. Parents will assist with rhythm activities and ball play including activities such as obstacle courses and parachute games. (2 1/2 - 4 year olds)- The program is designed to make fitness fun for children. With exercise hidden within play-based actitivities, your child will build motor skills and coordination, while having fun and developing social skills. Activities will include weekly greeting and stretch, cardio warm ups with props and music, obstacle course, parachute play, and more...It is a goal to see that each child experiences feeling of success during each class, leading to a life-long love of being active and fit. Parents are required to stay and participate when necessary.

The clinics will stress fundamentals of play through instruction and drills. No previous experience is necessary. Girls and boys will learn techniques for passing, serving, setting, and basic hitting. Volleyballs will be provided for use during the clinics.
